Hey there, fellow Blizzard fan. I’m writing this in 2026, but my mind keeps drifting back to February 19–20, 2021. That was BlizzConline, the fully virtual and completely free BlizzCon that Blizzard put together while the world was stuck at home. No ticket lines, no convention hall smell, just six streaming channels and a whole lot of Azeroth, Sanctuary, Overwatch, and card-slinging chaos. I remember clearing my weekend, grabbing snacks, and hopping between broadcasts like a caffeinated gnome. If you missed it live, or you’re curious about what all the fuss was about, here’s my personal walkthrough of every showcase and start time from that unforgettable weekend.

The whole event kicked off with the Opening Ceremonies at 5:00 pm EST on February 19, and it streamed across every channel. After that, things split into dedicated lanes: Blizzard, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo, Overwatch, and Strategy. Blizzard’s main channel also carried rebroadcasts, which was a lifesaver when two panels I wanted to watch happened at the same time. Let’s break it all down, channel by channel, just like I did back then.

The Blizzard Channel: Main Stage and Rebroadcasts

Final Thoughts from 2026

Looking back now, BlizzConline 2021 was not the biggest reveal fest. There were no shock release dates for Diablo 4 or Overwatch 2. But it was accessible, free, and packed with deep dives, Q&As, and community love. The Virtual March of the Murlocs still makes me smile. The Critical Role Diablo campaign was a brilliant crossover. And the artist showcases reminded me why Blizzard’s art direction has always been top-tier. If you ever want to revisit a strange, hopeful moment in Blizzard history, BlizzConline 2021 is a time capsule worth opening. 🎮✨
